Hallim 할림: Hyeopjae Beach (협재해변)

The west side of Jeju is very pretty and there’s not a lot of tourists that comes here. Most of the tourists go to the east side due to tv reality shows and perhaps better marketing.

From Seogwipo, I took a local bus to the World Cup Stadium and switched to 702 bus to the west side.

Since I’ve never gone pass Songbansan, all the scenaries were new to me.

Along the way is the Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road 신창 풍차해안.  They are windmills on the water and there is a bike lane next to it all the way to the beaches.

It took about 2 hours but it was a fairly nice ride.

I got off at Hyepje Beach Bus station.  Next to it is also the Hallim Park and the connecting Geumreung Beach.

The sand is from broken shell, making a nice sandy color.

The sand and water was a little cold though … And you can only swim during summer.

The water is very calming … Much nicer than the strong waves in the south.

Thr left side of the beach is a forested area.

Between the two beaches are some stacked rocks, they are made by well-wishers who hope to have their wish come true!

The beach is 9 km long and between it are weird markings on the sand!

They are mini snails inside these conches! Hard days work 😦

I wonder if this is the natural boarder ..

… And here is the rest of the pictures from this beach.

Geumreung Beach

Nearby the beach is also many restaurants amd cafe.  There is one that has excellent pasta but I just picked the one with the best view.

They have three floors and I was on the top floor.

There is also a second floor.

… And the outside. Service wasn’t that great though …

There is even a view in the washroom.

Anyways … That concludes my trip to the beach 😉

March 27 🙂
